Dear MIDTESOL Members,
Happy New Year!! We hope you are having a fantastic beginning of Spring Semester. For those of you considering attending the virtual TESOL 2021 Convention, March 24-27, 2021, here is an opportunity for funding through MIDTESOL. As one of your member benefits, MIDTESOL offers a Travel Award to help provide funding to attend the virtual TESOL 2021 Convention.
If you are interested in receiving a TESOL travel award, of up to $210 from MIDTESOL, please submit the following information via e-mail prior to January 25 at 5 pm. Submissions will be reviewed by the Awards Committee and recipients will be notified by January 29 at 5 pm. The recipients will be expected to submit receipts for proof of expenses and write an article about their experience for MIDTESOL Matters.
In your submission, submit an e-mail to the MIDTESOL Awards Committee Chair at lindsey.e.simanowitz@gmail.com. Be sure to include a short paragraph stating your name, employer, role in the ELL field (student/paraprofessional/professional, etc), and whether or not you will be receiving any funding to cover costs. Be sure to also include if you are or are not a member of TESOL and how attending the TESOL conference will benefit you.
