The English Language Educators Conference is co-hosted by the English Language Institute and the Agency for Teaching, Leading and Learning at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. This year’s conference will focus on best practices for supporting newcomers.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Don Vu, will present the highlights of his bestselling book, “Life, Literacy and the Pursuit of Happiness: Supporting our immigrant and refugee children through the power of reading.”
This conference is for educators, both at the pre-K-12 and higher education levels, who work with English Language Learners. It is also appropriate for community members who work with newcomers. Workshops and concurrent sessions will be on topics relevant to all groups.
