MO ESL Educator’s conference March 12-13 at SMSU
Friday night will be registration / reception / poster session / social hour
Invited others from ark, Ka, and OKL who might like to come
Next year’s MIDTESOL is in KC . Date and place will be discussed at the next board meeting
Requested people to put in their request for dates not to have the meeting

Good number of people approached him about putting up info about other meetings around the area

New Business

Travel is reimbursed for the conference chair Sheila Monk
Barb said International TESOL board members pay fees
Cheryl suggested refunding conference registration fees for chair
This issue will be up for discussion and vote at next board meeting
Motion: Ron moved to establish a rule that the VP / program chair fees be waived and room be covered through the conference
No Second
Motion: Bob Yates moved that general membership recommend to the board at it’s next meeting a way to compensate the 1^st VP / conference chair and also cover the local co-chair’s expenses
Discussion: Ron mentioned that in Lee’s Summit he negotiated for hotels for comp. Rooms. If we do it up front, certain hotels will cover complimentary rooms

Lois said that local conference chair should look into any options for comp rooms, whether it is conference rooms or board member hotel rooms
