MidTESOL Matters
Spring 2001 |
By Karen Schwelle
In this space, the editors of MidTESOL
Matters would like to regularly bring you recommendations for web sites
related to teaching ESL. Just send suggestions to us at karen_schwelle@aismail.wustl.edu
or luann_sorenson@aismail.wustl.edu. In this issue, however, with the TESOL
2001 Hospitality Team's St. Louis Area Tours as inspiration, we would like to
offer a list of St. Louis web sites to whet your appetite for the jaunts that
offer a break from the hustle and bustle of TESOL.
Bi-State is the St. Louis metro area's
public transportation agency. Look here for bus and MetroLink route maps,
schedules, and other information.
Here is the official site of the
St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.
Click on any of the marked locations
on this interactive map for details about area attractions.
The St. Louis CIN is the official
web site of the city of St. Louis. It gives information on St. Louis government,
neighborhoods, housing, development, heritage, arts and entertainment, and
more.
Here you will find community news
as well as visitor information for the St. Louis region.
Everyone comes to TESOL with his or her
own agenda, but most participants have one goal in common: the wish to do a
little exploring in the host city. To make the most of your time in St. Louis,
watch for the Hospitality Table at the conference for more information.
