You are invited to submit workshop, session, seminar, and poster proposals for the NAFSA 61st Annual Conference & Expo to be held May 24-29, 2009 in the City of Angels--Los Angeles, California, USA--where the world's leaders in international education will exchange ideas on the impact of international education on the world of tomorrow!

Fostering Global Engagement Through International Education

The 2009 conference theme will explore new ways to build mutual understanding and deepen our students' and scholars' engagement with the world. There are growing challenges and opportunities at every level of our shared lives: personal, societal, and governmental. Institutions must prepare well-informed and fully engaged global citizens, and international educators play a crucial role.

The 2009 Call for Proposals has been revamped to create more relevancy and depth in conference learning opportunities. We are seeking proposals that will connect with specific audience groups attending the conference and demonstrate the use of effective adult learning principles.
